Inclusion & SEND at SJB
AIMS
At St John the Baptist, we aim to ensure that every child can explore and develop their learning through meaningful, inclusive and engaging experiences.
We are committed to supporting each child’s social, emotional and academic development by providing equal access to a broad, balanced and enriching curriculum. We believe every child is unique, and we work to recognise and nurture individual strengths and talents so that all pupils can experience success, grow in confidence and be challenged to achieve their full potential.
We strive to inspire a love of learning and curiosity in all our children, supporting them to become lifelong learners with high aspirations and a strong sense of self-belief.
We work in close partnership with children, parents and carers, and the wider school community to ensure that learning is carefully planned, inclusive and responsive to individual needs.
Local SEND Offer
Local Authorities and schools are required to publish and keep, under review, information about services they expect to be available for the children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) aged 0-25. This is the ‘Local Offer’.
The intention of the Local Offer is to improve choice and transparency for families. It is also an important resource for parents in understanding the range of services and provision in the local area.
